The starting point of blackberry downfall was when whatsapp announced that it's ending support for them. Since then blackberry has not been the powerful and mighty phone we used to know.
Blackberry recently announced that they won't be producing any more phones running on the BBOS.
Etisalat were the first to discontinue support for blackberry services and GLO followed suit, now it's MTN that will be cutting the tie soon.
This is a message received from MTN.
Dear customer, MTN Blackberry service will be decommissioned on 27/01/2017. Please upgrade to a smartphone and enjoy 100% bonus on any data bundle purchased"
Meaning goodbye to BIS and BBC subscription on all Blackberry OS7. If you are still using it, you will no longer be able to access internet on that phone again. It is time to upgrade to a smartphone, either Android or IOS.
