How to root tecno W5 running Android 6.0 marshmallow

Tecno W5 run Android 6.0 marshmallow and it is powered by mediatek MT6737 chipset and 1GB of RAM.

To all tecno w5 users out there, there is a working method on how to root the phone and install TWRP recovery.
This phone cant be rooted using kingroot app so this is the better tutorial on how to root it.

How to root tecno W5 without PC ???

how to root tecno W5 with PC and install TWRP recovery

• 
  Download TWRP recovery ported for Tecno W5 by clicking here.
• Set up ADB and Fastboot on your PC by clicking here.
• Unlock the bootloader of Tecno W5 by clicking here.
• Download SuperSU 2.76.zip by clickinghere.

STEP 1: After you are done with the above requirements, you can now extract and copy the ported TWRP recovery.img into the same folder as the fastboot.exe and adb.exe.

STEP 2: Copy the SuperSU zip you downloaded earlier, into your phone internal storage and SD card and connect your phone to your PC using USB cord while switched on and boot into Fastboot ( as instructed in the bootloader unlocking guide).

STEP 3: After it has enter the Fastboot, just flash the recovery IMG to your phone by typing this command ;

flash recovery recovery.img

STEP 4: After it has been flashed successfully, kindly boot into recovery mode by holding your volume down + power button.

STEP 5: In TWRP, if TWRP offers to root the phone, tap on NO and if prompt asks you to swipe to allow modification of the System partition, tap on KEEP READ ONLY.

STEP 6: In TWRP recovery, tap on INSTALL and locate SuperSU2.76.zip file then select it with power button and then swipe to confirm flashing of SuperSU.zip and wait till flashing is complete.

STEP 7: Reboot your phone normally and confirm root by Using root checker app .
