Apple Set to Launch iPhone 7 on September 7

Countless leaks of iPhone 7 have been surfacing on the internet since late last year. There were different speculations ranging from the possibility of being fully water proof and self healing to a more recent leak revealing a blue iPhone 7 Plus. The yet to be released smartphone was evencloned in China about two months ago.

An invite for a press conference slated for September 7 was sent out earlier today.

Further details disclosed that the event will take place at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Apple has been unveiling a new iPhone each September for five consecutive years, and we have nodoubt that things will be different this year.Regarding other features, recent rumors hinted that the 4.7-inch variant will sport repositioned antennae lines, wireless charging, laser auto focus, removal of the headphone jack, wireless earbuds with claims that the design will bear a lot of resemblance to that ofiPhone 6s. NuTonomy Introduces Self-Driving Taxi Service in Singapore

We have been anticipating a time when vehicles will be self-driven for decades and it is now possible.
A US-based autonomous vehicle software startup, nuTonomy has launched the first public trial of self-driving taxi service which consists of six cars in Singapore. Reaching this milestone is very impressive for the three year old company. Top automakers including Volvo and Ford have been testing self-driving cars for many years. Google has been working on this same project for seven years, Uber also announced plans to unveil autonomous cars in few weeks time. Only pre-selected customers are eligible for the trial.
The service can be accessed via the nuTonomy’s app and the taxis run in a 2.5-square-mile area known as one-north. An engineer assigned to each taxi will “observe system performance and assume control if needed to ensure passenger comfort and safety,” as stated by the company. Data obtained during the public trial will be used to improve overall user experience before the service is commercially launched in 2018. In a released statement, nuTonomy CEO and co-founder Karl Iagnemma explains:

NuTonomy’s first-in-the-world public trial is a direct reflection of the level of maturity that we have achieved with our AV software system. The trial represents an extraordinary opportunity to collect feedback from riders in a real-world setting, and this feedback will give nuTonomy a unique advantage as we work toward deployment of a self-driving vehicle fleet in 2018.

With support from authorities, nuTonomy has been privately testing self-driving cars in Singapore since April and trials are ongoing in London and Michigan. It is also working with major automakers to assist them in the development of autonomous cars.

Huawei G9 Plus unveiled with 3,340mah battery, 16MP camera

Huawei has unveiled a new smartphone, dubbed Huawei G9 Plus. The device is powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset and sports a 5.5-inch full HD display. It comes in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB memory configurations, and packs in a 3,340mAh battery

In terms of camera, the handset features a 16MP rear unit with support for 4K video recording, and an 8MP front shooter. Weighing in at 160g and having a thickness of 7.3mm, it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI version 4.1 on top. There's also a fingerprint sensor on the back
If you compare, the Huawei G9 Plus looks strikingly similar to the Huawei Maimang 5 that was made official by the Chinese company last month. The phone was made official in China. As for price, the 3GB RAM variant carries a tag of RMB 2,399 (around $360). The cost of 4GB RAM model isn't currently known. Registrations for the device have already started, with sales beginning August 25.

FCC lists upcoming Nexus devices, confirms HTC make

Like every other year, we are expecting double Google Nexus devices and these ones would be made by the same manufacturer in HTC. This has been floating around as a rumour for a while because it is very rare for Google to want to entrust the production of two of their smartphones for the same year to a single maker but with a recent FCC listing, all rumours have been put to rest and we are now sure that HTC is making these ones.

For the listing, both devices were listed as just G-2PW2100 and G-2PW4100 and it was stated in the FCC document that their manuals could be seen on the official website of Google. The idea that these devices would be Nexus-brands came from the fact that the “G” in the model name looks like the same kind of font Google uses too.

Although as it is always with FCC, we couldn’t get to see a lot of specifications but then, we do know for sure that the devices would be running the Nougat 7.0 out of the box, even if the upcoming LG V20 plans to beat them to the punch in this regard.

Chassis of the upcoming Huawei Mate 9 leaks in new pictures

mtn reports first ever loss, as NCC fine cuts off profit

This is seriously a trying time for MTN… for the very first time, Africa's biggest mobile phone operator MTN Group Ltd cut investor payouts by almost 50 per cent as it reported its first-ever half-yearly loss on Friday.

MTN said in Johannesburg that the loss was due to a deadly blow unethically thrown at them from a hefty regulatory fine in Nigeria

And the biggest contributor to the decline was MTN’s agreement to pay a record N330 billion ($1 billion) fine in Nigeria, the company’s largest market. The penalty was levied in October after MTN missed a deadline to disconnect unregistered subscribers, and the subsequent loss of customers further hurt operations in the country. MTN said the fine, a third of the proposed initial penalty, wiped 10.5 billion rand ($768 million) from their headline earnings, South Africa's main measure of profit.
MTN also said the results were affected by unfavourable currency swings, under performance in its home market and in Nigeria where it had to cut off another 4.5 million SIM cards to comply with local registration requirements.

1. Copy the downloaded Super SU to both internal storage of your phone and SD card.
2. Extract and copy the CWM recovery.img into the same folder as the fastboot.exe and adb.exe
3. Unlock Tecno Camon C9 bootloader by following the steps here
4. Connect the phone to your PC via USB cord while switched ON and boot it into Fastboot (as instructed in the Bootloader unlock guide)
5. The moment your device enters fast boot, flash the recovery.img to the phone by typing the command below then pressing Enter fastboot
flash recovery recovery.img
6. Reboot the phone by typing the command below then pressing Enter
fastboot reboot
7. Boot the phone into recovery mode by switching off and using Volume up button + Power button
8. Once you enter recovery mode, use the volume button to move up and down
9. Scroll down to Install zip and select it
10. Select Choose zip from /storage/sdcard1
11. Navigate to the location of SuperSu.zip and select it
12. Select Yes – Install SuperSU to confirm flashing
Wait till the flashing is complete…
13. Return to the home screen (using the back option) then select Reboot
If CWM offers to fix some errors, select No.
Once you are done, confirm if your device has been successfully rooted by installing root checker.
