Online shopping has taken Nigeria by storm in recent years as there are many e-commerce websites that you can shop and the item will be safely delivered to you safely so far you have payed the correct amount of money and use a valid address.
Jumia.com.ng is by far the biggest e-commerce website in Nigeria and it offers more than 150,000 items to choose from. They have grown bigger and bigger in recent years and that's is why they are trusted by more than 5 million of fans.
I think I don't have to talk too much, let's go to the matter at hand.
HOW TO SHOP IN JUMIA.COM.NG AND GET YOU ITEM DELIVERED TO YOU SUCCESSFULLY
STEP ONE: visit jumia.com.ng with your smartphone or desktop/laptop computer. In my tutorial I will be dealing with smartphones, as research have shown that more than 70% of Nigerians browse the internet with their phones.
After the site might have opened, check the top right corner and you will see an icon that looks like human head. (see picture below)
Then click on the icon, you will see signin or signup if you already have an account there you can signin else click on signup it will redirect you to the registration page where you will be required to enter your details such as name, email, address. Fill in the details correctly and click on signup, if the registration is successful it will redirect you to homepage.
Now we enter step 2 : click on the three bold lines in the top left corner. A menu will appear check it and select the category you want to shop items from. I will use mobile phones>smartphones in my example. if there is a sub-category click on it.
Then the available list of products from that category will appear, search for the item you're looking for and click on it.
Now to step 3: click on details, (as shown below in image) it will open in short, then click on “read more” to see full details, if you are satisfied with the specs go back and click on buy now. Please ensure you didn't click it twice unless you want to buy more than one.
A shopping icon will appear in red colour at top right corner of the page, click on it.
It will now open a page for you to verify the items you want to buy.
After you might have verified that it's correct, click on checkout.
A new page will open for you to input your address details, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ENTER YOUR CURRENT ADDRESS AND MAKE SURE ITS VERY CORRECT after that click on save changes you will now be redirected to a success page,
click on next, another page will open, click on next again.
Then you will be promoted to select your payment method, you must know which one is your ATM CARD, you can find the type written on your card. (we have three types of ATM CARD in Nigeri. The verve, visa and MasterCard)
Go on and select visa, verve or MasterCard. ( only if you have any of these cards) .
Then click on next,
it will then show you an overview of what you have done so far. Click on confirm.
It will now redirect you to a payment page. please ignore the login from that you see, just go on and select your ATM CARD TYPE,(as you can see, I've selected MasterCard because my ATM CARD is MASTERCARD) . Then enter the digits on the front of your ATM CARD on the first box, select the month/year your card will expire, enter the CVC2 of the card, it is a three digit number that can be found on the back of your ATM CARD.
Then input the secret pin of your card (don't panic, your money won't be stolen, it is to verify that you are the true owner of the card) .
Then click on PAY .
If the payment is successful, you will be redirected to jumia.com.ng and it will show that you have paid and that your item is currently being shipped to you. Be sure to be around in these days to be sure you can receive your item when it reaches your house.
If you are not satisfied with the item you can return it for free in seven days time and your money will also be refunded to you.
You see how simple it is? To shop on jumia doesn't take up to 20mins if you know what you are doing.
I don't know if the steps apply to all products on their site. But now I think you have gained some knowledge of how to shop on jumia.com.ng
after registration you can come back and use these links to shop, as it will make it more simple and fast for you to find the item you're looking for.
